Jack Antonoff’s tiniest move made Margaret Qualley’s whole world shake.
Indeed, the record producer—who has worked with Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Lana Del Rey—pulled some subtle strings to get his wife a part in Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2.
“What a great husband,” Margaret gushed of her partner of three years to Jimmy Fallon on the Sept. 24 episode of The Tonight Show. “I can’t golf. He lied for the sake of the family.”
After Margaret—who officially tied the knot with Jack in 2023—had told her agents she’d do “anything it takes” to get a part in the upcoming golf sequel, Adam reached out to Jack to screen Margaret’s golfing abilities over text.
And while the Maid star’s skills were far from up to par, her husband told the comedian that when it comes to the sport, “She’s actually good!”
Satisfied with the answer, Adam told Jack, “Might bug her for a couple days, funny thing. She’d be awesome.”
The 29-year-old emphasized that the Bleachers musician did her a huge favor, given her affection for the Billy Madison star.
“He is my first crush,” she effused, adding that the original Happy Gilmore, released in 1996, is her “favorite movie.”
Despite her inability to swing a club, Margaret—who will join Travis Kelce and more in the sequel—assured the experience was still a dream come true.
“It was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she added. “It’s a tiny part. I’m essentially deep background but I can die happy now.”
And she noted of Adam, “Like everyone, I think he’s the greatest of all time.”
Although Margaret had childhood affections for the comedian—who shares daughters Sadie, 18, and Sunny, 15, with wife Jackie Sandler—she now only has eyes for Jack.
“I am so happy that I found my person,” Margaret told Harper’s Bazaar last year. “It’s real. It’s amazing. It’s the best feeling in the world. I’m so excited and so at ease all at once.”
Everyone needs a partner who will lie for you to your idol. Keep reading for more sweet moments from Margaret and Jack.
